Stephen C. Simpson is a founding partner in the firm, and he concentrates his practice in the areas of estate planning, probate, and guardianship law. Mr. Simpson received his Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from the University of Michigan in 1993 where he was made a member of Phi Beta Kappa; he received his law degree, with distinction, from the University of Iowa in 1996.He is Board Certified in estate planning and probate law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Mr. Simpson has served as an Adjunct Law Professor at the University of Houston, and is the author of “Avoiding a Will Contest: Estate Planning and a Legislative Solution,” the Houston Bar Foundation’s “Best Article” award winner. Mr. Simpson is a frequent lecturer on estate planning and probate topics. Mr. Simpson was selected to the 2011 Texas Super Lawyers, Rising Stars Edition, and the 2017 Texas Super Lawyers.
